REVIEW OF AMMO PURPLE DRAGON

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 171 MILLIGRAMS PER 1 OUNCE BOTTLE.

RATING: 9 OUT OF 10.

This is my second review in the line-up of Ammo Energy Shots. This one is a brand new flavor called Purple Dragon. I took 16 ounces of water and mixed it with the purple liquid. The taste is really quite pleasing and it reminded me of a watery grape sports drink such as Gatorade or Powerade. There is absolutely no medicinal aftertaste to speak of. So, it tasted quite good but what is in this thing. It has 171 milligrams of caffeine and b-complex. That might not sound like a lot but that is 171 milligrams of caffeine in one ounce. Only two energy shots are more concentrated than this: 5150 Juice at 500 milligrams per ounce, and Fixx and over 2 grams per ounce. It's no wonder you have to delude this in 16 ounces of water. So far this shot has a delicious grape flavor and some seriously concentrated caffeine which leads us to the kick. The kick I received from this was quite pleasant. In 15 minutes I noticed a heightened sense of alertness and focus. It's no wonder the military uses these shots. You wouldn't want to fall asleep while manning a high-powered machine gun, right? So far, the 2010 Ammo Energy Shot Line-up has left me with very little complaints. If you do see this product on the shelf, I suggest you try it. Rating? 9 out of 10.

REVIEW OF AMMO FULL FORCE

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 171 MILLIGRAMS PER 1 OUNCE BOTTLE.

RATING: 9 OUT OF 10.

Ok, this is my 120th review and there are some special reviews on the way so stay tuned. This drink comes to me from The Beverage Revolution, Bevolution for short, and their drink is called Ammo. Ammo comes in a 1 ounce bottle that is about the same size as a standard shotgun shell. Bevolution says that I should pour the contents of the shot into my favorite beverage. Of course, I chose water so I could get the taste down. I also noticed that Ammo has a caffeine meter that lets you choose how much caffeine you want. Like always, I poured the entire bottle in, gave it a few shakes, and took a sip. Ammo is one of those drinks that is impossible to describe. It's definitely good, but I should've taken a sip right out of the bottle to see what the flavor was. Deluded in 16.9 ounces of water, this shot brings some flavor to the water. Yes it is a little bitter from the caffeine, but not too much. Overall this shot is looking pretty tasty. And now we move on to the energy enhancing ingredients. Ammo Full Force was originally citrus ice but they re-formulated it with the following ingredients: vitamin b12, gingko biloba, acetyl-l, dmae, l-carnitine, bacopin, vinpocetin, and phosphatidylserine. Those are some crazy energy enhancing ingredients. Not to mention there is an amazing 171 milligrams of caffeine in this one ounce bottle. Only Fixx Extreme Ultra Shot and 5150 Juice beat Ammo in terms of caffeine per ounce. Ok, now let's move on to the kick. Ammo gave me a pretty good kick in the pants and that lasted about 4 hours. If you downed the shot all at once and didn't delude it in water then you would be seriously energized. I like Ammo. It's a good company and so far they have good drinks. I will rate this a 9.0 out of 10.

REVIEW OF ROCKSTAR SUGAR FREE

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 160 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.5 OUT OF 10.

Once again, I get to review another sugar free drink. This one comes from Rockstar and the can basically looks the same except it's white instead of black. The flavor is original Rockstar with a bit more tartness and some artificial sweeteners. The original Rockstar tasted like Red Bull to me, but taste is subjective so you may think different. Anyway, this drink tasted alright so what's in it? Well, let me just say, Rockstar has one of the best blends I have ever seen. Here is the list: 6.8 milligrams of vitamin b2, 40 milligrams of vitamin b3, 20 milligrams of vitamin b5, 4 milligrams of vitamin b5, 12 micrograms of vitamin b12, 2,000 milligrams of taurine, 300 milligrams of gingko biloba leaf extract, 160 milligrams of caffeine, 50 milligrams of guarana seed extract, 50 milligrams of inositol, 50 milligrams of l-carnitine, 50 milligrams of panax ginseng extract, and 40 milligrams of milk thistle extract. Wow, that is a total of 2,768.812 milligrams and 13 energy enhancing ingredients. Nice job Rockstar and with that I shall move on to the kick. I got a nice mid-level boost from Rockstar Sugar Free and for some odd reason this is a lot better than the original. The boost lasted maybe 3 or 4 hours. So, not to shabby but nothing to party about. To conclude I will give this a rating of 8.5 out of 10.

REVIEW OF RIP IT POWER SUGAR FREE

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 200 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 7.8 OUT OF 10.

This is going to be my second review on a sugar free Rip It Energy Drink. When I reviewed the original Rip It I had an extremely hard time figuring out the taste. This was not so with the Rip It Power Sugar Free. As soon as the liquid hit my palate, I immediately thought of Bawls Guarana Exxtra. If that doesn't sum up the taste for you then this will. Rip It has a crisp, clean taste that really has no flavor except for some artificial sweeteners. Now, let's see what makes this tick: 4 milligrams of vitamin c, 800 micrograms of folic acid, 12 micrograms of vitamin b12, 2,000 milligrams of taurine, 200 milligrams of caffeine, 200 milligrams of inositol, and 20 milligrams of guarana seed extract. So that is 2,420.814 milligrams and a total of 7 energy enhancing ingredients. Yes the blend could use a little work, but for the most part it's ok. After slamming down the can, I got a moderate boost that lasted about 3 hours. The kick was definately not as strong as the original Rip It, but that was because I had not built up a tolerance to caffeine. So, to conclude this very, very short review I will rate this a 7.8 out of 10. I am also going to tell you what drinks I will be reviewing in the future. I will review Rockstar Sugar Free and there seems to be some brand new flavors of AMMO Energy Shot on the way so I will be the first to review those.

REVIEW OF EUPHORIC LEMON LIME

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 140 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.4 OUT OF 10.

A while back I purchased the Pomegranate Passion Fruit flavor of Euphoric and judging by my review, I was not the biggest fan of the taste. Is the Lemon Lime version better? Read on to find out. Upon taking my first sip, I was quite pleased with the flavor. It is best described as a delicious lemon lime mixture with the lemon being more punctuated then the lime. This is absolutely nothing like Sprite or Seven Up or Sierra Mist. Euphoric has a more natural and in depth flavor than the aforementioned sodas. Well it certainly pleased my palate, but what's in this drink? It has 10 micrograms of vitamin b12, 140 milligrams of caffeine, 1,200 milligrams of taurine, 50 milligrams of ginseng extract, 80 milligrams of damiana leaf extract, 160 milligrams of inositol, 60 milligrams of maca root extract, and 50 milligrams of suma root extract. That is a total of 1,790.01 milligrams and 8 energy enhancing ingredients. That's nothing sensational, but it will get the job done. There is one part about this drink that I don't enjoy. Allow me to recite a sentence from the side of the can. "We hope you agree that Euphoric Energy is one of the healthiest, best tasting energy drinks you will ever experience." One of the healthiest energy drinks? It could be if you look past the 220 calories, 54 grams of carbohydrates, 52 grams of sugar, and the yellow 5 and blue 1. Nice try Euphoric, but your not fooling me. And I am pretty sure that you know darn well that your drink is not one of the healthiest. Moving on. The kick I got from this was pretty good. It was a medium high boost that lasted for about 4 hours. Alright, time to give this bad boy a rating. 8.4 out of 10.

REVIEW OF RIP IT STING-ER MO

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 170 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.2 OUT OF 10.

While the Minnesota Vikings and New Orleans Saints battle it out for the National Football Conference Championship, I thought I would write my review on the Rip It Sting-er Mo Energy Drink. Upon looking at the can, I had absolutely no idea what this was going to taste like. Rip It's website says the following about Sting-er Mo: "Pure energy tropical fruit...an exotic blend of tropical fruits and botanicals with the full energy component that "stings" typical energy drinks." I still have one question, what are botanicals? According to WebMD, botanicals are substances obtained from plants and used in food supplements, personal care products, or pharmaceuticals. So, that answers my question and now we can finally move on to the taste. Rip It Sting-er Mo tasted like a Monster clone only much less pungent and bold as regular Monster. The flavor is nice and crisp and goes down very easily. The carbonation is medium-low which makes for easy chugging. I wouldn't say it's a blend of tropical fruits but I am certain it's a Monster clone done the right way. Anyway, moving on to the energy enhancing ingredients list. It has 144 milligrams of vitamin c, 4 milligrams of vitamin b6, 806 micrograms of folic acid, 12 milligrams of vitamin b12, 200 milligrams of sodium, 2,032 milligrams of taurine, 170 milligrams of caffeine, 202 milligrams of inositol, 8 milligrams of guarana seed extract, 8 milligrams of ginseng extract and a tiny bit of l-carnitine. The total energy blend tops out at 2,424.818 milligrams without including the vitamin c and sodium. Not to shabby. After about 15 minutes I got a mid-level boost and after a little over 3 hours, the 14 teaspoons of sugar got to me, and I crashed. Still the kick was not too bad and with that in mind its time for the rating. I will give Rip It Sting-er Mo a rating of 8.2 out of 10.

REVIEW OF RIP IT CITRUS X SUGAR FREE

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 200 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 5.6 OUT OF 10.

I am quite certain that this is my first review of a sugar free Rip It Energy Drink but I could be mistaken. Now, Rip It Citrus X tasted like a mix between carbonated sunny delight and orange soda. So does the sugar free version taste similar? Nope. I am not sure if it is the artificial sweeteners or what but this drink doesn't taste very good. It feels very harsh when it goes down your throat because of the extreme carbonation. Not to mention the delicious, artificial orange flavor is now replaced by a mixture of artificial sweeteners. Not good. Not good at all. Well it didn't taste very good but what is in it? It has 4 milligrams of vitamin b6, 800 micrograms of pantothenic acid, 12 micrograms of vitamin b12, 2,000 milligrams of taurine, 200 milligrams of caffeine, 200 milligrams of inositol, and 20 milligrams of guarana seed extract. So at least the blend is not crappy like like the taste. But, how about the all important kick factor? Rip It Citrus X Sugar Free hardly had any effect on me at all. I felt a minimal increase in alertness, wakefulness, and energy. This drink has indeed disappointed me quite a bit. And that is odd because Rip It Energy Drinks have gotten an average rating of 8.50 on my blog (the second highest). Oh well, I guess every drink can't be at least decent. I will give this a 5.6 out of 10. Ouch!

REVIEW OF HELIX

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 160 MILLIGRAMS PER 0.14 OUNCE PACK.

RATING: 8.7 OUT OF 10

Yesterday, 10 of what is called Helix arrived at my doorstep. Helix is just like Crave only an orange flavor instead of whatever flavor Crave was supposed to be. So, the directions told me to dissolve the entire packet into a 16.9 ounce bottle, so I did. It took a couple of minutes to dissolve and when I took my first sip I was quite pleased. The taste was a mixture of orange Kool-Aid and orange Popsicle. This drink would be a great workout companion because it is non-carbonated and quite refreshing. It certainly tasted great but what does the energy blend look like. Well, here it is: 20 milligrams of niacin, 4 milligrams of vitamin b6, 12 micrograms of vitamin b12, 5 milligrams of pantothenic acid, and a 1,000 milligram proprietary energy blend consisting of taurine, caffeine, d-glucuronolactone, l-carnitine, and panax ginseng. Not to mention there is only 10 calories, 2 grams of carbohydrates, no sugar, 120 milligrams of vitamin c, and 110 milligrams of sodium. I think the energy blend is quite nice and you can never go wrong with low calorie energy drinks, especially if you want to watch your figure. As far as caffeine content goes, there is 160 milligrams of the stuff in Helix. So, did it work? You bet it did. Around 10 or 15 minutes after drinking it I received a medium-high level boost that did not fade until 3 or 4 hours later, possibly more. This is really a great product all-around and I hope they become one of the leaders in the energy drink powdered mix category. I will give Helix a rating of 8.7 out of 10.

REVIEW OF XS CRANBERRY GRAPE BLAST

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 83 MILLIGRAMS PER 8.4 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.8 OUT OF 10

This appears to be XS's flagship flavor so I hope it does well in the taste department. I will start by pointing out that this is quite a tasty beverage. I can definitely taste the mixture of cranberry and grape but I can also taste the artificial sweeteners they use in the drink as well. If you don't know by now, all of the XS Energy Drinks have zero sugar and eight calories. So, lets move on to the energy enhancing ingredients, shall we? One can contains 100 percent daily value of vitamin b3, 100 percent daily value of vitamin b5, 300 percent daily value of vitamin b6, 4,900 percent daily value of vitamin b12, eleutherococcus, senticusus, panax ginseng, panax quinquefolium, schisandra, astragalus, reishi, and an espresso's worth of caffeine (83 milligrams). I love the induction of all those proprietary herbs, some of which I have never even heard of. The caffeine content, like I mentioned earlier, is 83 milligrams but with the presence of tons of b vitamins and the proprietary blend of herbs, I was energized within 10 or 15 minutes. The rush I got was very smooth and was completely jitter free. I was focused and my mood level increased. XS has always been one of my favorite energy drink companies, and with this review they are one step closer to being the highest average rated energy drink line-up in this blog's history. As of right now, here is how the rankings stack up:
1) Amp-8.66
2) Rip It-8.50
3) XS-8.26
So there you have it, the top three highest average rated energy drinks on the Addicted 2 Energy Blog. Ok time to give this a rating: I think I will give this an 8.8 out of 10.

REVIEW OF DETOUR CHOCOLATE CREAMY PEANUT BUTTER

CAFFEINE CONTENT: NO CAFFEINE.

RATING: 5.4 OUT OF 10.

I have now decided to start reviewing energy bars on my blog such as Clif and Detour. Why? Simply because they have the word "energy" in there name and on this blog I review energy enhancing products and functional beverages so they fit into one of those categories. The flavor I tried was chocolate creamy peanut butter and it did taste pretty good. No, it's not a Snickers but they did do a nice job with the flavor. The taste would be described as an everyday energy bar. It has that fake chocolate and peanut butter flavor. After taking a quick scan of the ingredients, I spotted taurine, an amino acid commonly found in most energy drinks. I also spotted 15 grams of protein and a slight amount of b-vitamins. I believe it has somewhere around the 10 to 20 percent daily value range. I devoured the bar before school and I have to say it didn't do a whole lot. But, that's a little obvious because there is only a slight amount of b-vitamins and I am not quite sure if protein gives you energy or not. But what about taurine? It is said that when taurine is combined with caffeine it will boost your stamina and endurance. However, I don't think having taurine alone will do a whole lot to you. So, time to give it a rating. Well, since it is an "energy" bar, I have to rate it the same way I rate all the other energy enhancing products. That being said, I will give it a 5.4 out of 10.

REVIEW OF LIQUIMAX

CAFFEINE CONTENT: NO CAFFEINE.

RATING: 7.9 OUT OF 10.

This drink is one of those beverages that are somewhere in between a functional beverage and an energy enhancing product. It has b vitamins, coenzyme q10, and I believe there is some gingko biloba in there as well. But it also has some crazy plant extracts and I believe some fish (don't ask me why). This drink comes in a 32 ounce bottle but you only need an ounce of liquid. Liquimax made things easy by making the cap to the product one ounce. So I poured myself a shot of this energy enhancing product/functional beverage and....it's not that bad at all. Have you ever had those 100% fruit drinks that do not taste sugary at all? That's kind of what this tasted like. It was very natural and I could tell they were using quality fruits in the drink. The fruits consists if Goji, Mangosteen, Acai, Pomegranate, etc. Ok, now for the energy enhancing ingredients. This drink has 3 or 4 b vitamins ranging anywhere from 100 percent to over 200 percent of your daily value. I also spied some gingko biloba leaf extract and a whole bunch of other extracts. I will have to give this drink props for having so much ingredients packed into one ounce of liquid. And it still tasted good which is really quite amazing. As for the boost of energy, I took this before I got started on my Math. Liquimax did a good job powering me through my session of geometry and I felt a nice middle-of-the-road boost from Liquimax. It was certaintly nothing special but it was not too shabby. So, with all things considered, I will give this drink a 7.9 out of 10.

REVIEW OF NOS FRUIT PUNCH

Courtesy of Energy Drink Guru
CAFFEINE CONTENT: 260 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 5.9 OUT OF 10.

This is another fruit punch flavored drink and If you haven't figured it out by now, I am a sucker for any fruit punch drink. Except this one. When I cracked open the tab a was hit with a very sweet smell that wasn't all that attractive. When I took a sip I experienced an incredibly sweet and sticky fruit punch flavor. The gumminess most likely originates from the High Fructose Corn Syrup used in the beverage. Not only is it used in the beverage, it is the second listed ingredient. Yikes! The actual fruit punch flavor is ok, nothing special here. Well this certaintly wasn't the best fruit punch drink I have had but can it make up for it in the taste and kick departments? It has vitamins b6 and b12, 260 milligrams of caffeine, 2,000 milligrams of taurine, 400 milligrams of l-carnitine, and 200 milligrams of inositol. So there is only 6 energy inducing ingredients but there is a lot of each so I will give it props for that. As for kick, well I took this before a workout and I didn't feel much of a boost from NOS Fruit Punch. My workout was chock-full of cramps from downing the just-ok fruit punch flavored drink. Honestly, I would not buy this drink again. The gumminess is just too much, the flavor is just ok, the energy enhancing ingredients list is pretty good, and the kick is sub-par. I will give NOS Fruit Punch a rating of 5.9 out of 10. I recommend you try and stay away from this one, but hey, That's only my opinion.

REVIEW OF RIP IT LIME WRECKER

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 200 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.7 OUT OF 10.

I have always loved the line-up of Rip It Energy Drinks simply because the value is so great. I picked up this can for 1 dollar and 9 cents. Take that Monster! This drink is also very special. Why? Because this drink is, or was, the first magarita flavored energy drink. Sorry all you alcoholics, this one is 100% alcohol free. However, with a little vodka (or whatever you put in margaritas) it should make a great mixer. Anyway lets get to the taste shall we. When it first hit my palatte I was hit with a burst of refreshing lime that gives this drink a nice spark of flavor. I don't think I have tried any lime flavored energy drinks but I have to say, Rip It pulled the flavor off nicely. So before we get to the kick, lets talk about the energy enhancing ingredients. In one 16 ounce can you get 120 milligrams of vitamin c, 4 milligrams of vitamin b6, 800 micrograms of folic acid, 12 micrograms of vitamin b12, 2,000 milligrams of taurine, 200 milligrams of caffeine, 200 milligrams of inositol, and 20 milligrams of guarana seed extract. After happily slamming down this margarita flavored energy drink I didn't feel much. Then after about 30 to 45 minutes, it finally started to kick in. I experienced a nice solid boost from Rip It Lime Wrecker which lasted around 3 to maybe 4 hours. The kick came mostly from the solid 200 milligrams of caffeine which is 60 more than a monster for a dollar less. Again, take that Monster! So to conclude, I will give Rip It Lime Wrecker an 8.7 out of 10.

REVIEW OF ROCKSTAR PUNCHED

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 240 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 10 OUT OF 10!

On this blog I have reviewed over 100 energy drinks in about 9 or 10 months. Sometimes, people ask me what my favorite energy drink is and sadly, I don't have an answer for them. But now, with this next review, I just might have that answer. Onward to the review of Rockstar Punched. First off, this can has an awesome packaging design. I love the combination of black and red and this can is absolutely gorgeous. It is sleek and stealthy and just plain awesome. But then, when the liquid first hit my tongue, I was shocked. This is just absolutely amazing. I am a huge fan of all fruit punch drinks and Rockstar Punched delivered a fruit punch flavor that I will not forget. It had minimal carbonation and a smooth fruit punch flavor with absolutely no medicinal taste at all. This is without a doubt the best energy drink I have ever tasted. Rockstar Punched also shines quite brightly in the energy enhancing ingredients category. Here is the list: 40 milligrams of vitamin b3, 20 milligrams of vitamin b5, 4 milligrams of vitamin b6, 12 micrograms of vitamin b12, 2,000 milligrams of taurine, 300 milligrams of gingko biloba leaf extract, 240 milligrams of caffeine, 50 milligrams of guarana seed extract, 50 milligrams of inositol, 50 milligrams of l-carnitine, 50 milligrams of panax ginseng extract, and 40 milligrams of milk thistle extract. That is a total of 12 energy inducing ingredients which is fantastic. This is one of the best energy blends I have ever seen. And now, the kick. With 240 milligrams of caffeine running through me, I feel great. It isn't the strongest energy drink I have tried (that belongs to Wired X-344) but it is pretty darn good. I mean, I don't even know what to do with all this energy running through me so I decided to write this review while buzzed. And now, the conclusion and the rating. Rockstar Punched is my favorite energy drink, hands down. I just love the taste, the energy blend, and the kick. Man this drink is good. Let's see what shall I give this? How about a 10 out of 10! Yea, that sounds good. So, the next time someone asks me my favorite energy drink, I will say Rockstar Punched!

REVIEW OF JOLT BLUE RASPBERRY

Courtesy of Jolt Energy
CAFFEINE CONTENT: 280 MILLIGRAMS PER 23.5 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 7.8 OUT OF 10

Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to me! Happy Birthday to Avery! Happy Birthday to me! Well I just couldn't decide what to get for my birthday so I decided to pick up some energy drinks. The first energy drink is the Jolt Blue Raspberry. This drink comes in a black and blue resealable 23.5 ounce bottle. The taste is simply delicious. It smells like bubble gum and tastes like a blue raspberry Dum-Dum. It was taste sensation unlike any other. It was just fantastic and it is 23.5 ounces so you can savor it for a long time. This is one of the best tasting energy drinks I have ever tasted. Jolt doesn't stop at taste because they have a nice little energy blend as well. It has taurine, guarana, ginseng, vitamin b complex and a whopping 280 milligrams of caffeine. I drank some of this when my aunts and uncles were here and the rest when I got back from McDonalds. The kick isn't as good as Jolt Power Cola but that was only because I drank this in two sittings. If you don't drink energy drinks as much as I do, the 280 milligrams of caffeine should do the trick. As for me? Well Jolt Blue Raspberry didn't effect me too much. I should have drank it in one sitting instead of two. Now lets discuss something I don't normally talk about on this blog: Cost. I bought Jolt Blue Raspberry for 2 dollars and 99 cents which puts it at 12.7 cents an ounce. Monster Energy Drink usually sells at around 2 dollars and 29 cents. That puts it at 14.3 cents an ounce. If that same Monster Energy Drink was the same size as Jolt, it would be 3 dollars and 36 cents. That is 37 cents cheaper than Monster. Rating? 7.6 out of 10.

REVIEW OF JOLT POWER COLA.

Courtesy of Jolt Energy
CAFFEINE CONTENT: 280 MILLIGRAMS PER 23.5 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 9.3 OUT OF 10!

Well, this is the biggest energy drink I have ever reviewed at 23.5 ounces. This drink comes in a huge battery can with a resealable top. The color inside is a dark caramel similar to other colas. This drink tastes just like any other cola only less syrupy. This is actually one of my favorites in terms of taste because I happen to be a fan of cola flavored beverages. There was absolutely no hint of any medicinal aftertaste. It was just a smooth, less syrupy cola flavored energy drink. Ok, so this bad boy has 3 servings but of course, I drank the whole thing. It contains a whopping 280 milligrams of caffeine, guarana, taurine, and a b vitamin complex. Not to shabby, especially the 280 milligrams of caffeine. This drink took me about 90 minutes to finish the whole thing and when I was done, the effect was pretty darn good. In fact, I am still feeling the 280 milligrams of caffeine surging through my veins. And at a price of about 2 dollars and 50 cents a can, it is a great deal too. So, it tastes awesome, has a nice energy blend (you can't go wrong with 280 milligrams of caffeine) and delivers a substantial boost of energy at a great price. I will give Jolt Power Cola a rating of 9.3 out of 10!

REVIEW OF AVITAE

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 45 MILLIGRAMS PER 16.9 OUNCE BOTTLE.

RATING: 5.8 OUT OF 10.

It has been nearly 12 days since my last review and thankfully I got samples of Avitae in the mail today. First of all, what is Avitae? Well, Avitae (ah-vee-tay) is made by a company called Vitality and their goal was to create an energy water. There are only 2 ingredients throughout the entire bottle: water and natural caffeine. That's it. Before I indulged myself in the beverage I took the time to notice the incredible packaging design. Whoever came up with the idea of a cone shaped bottle is a genius. Not to mention the design on the bottle is top-notch. So, I cracked open the bottle and got a whiff of nothing, just like regular water. When my palette first came in contact with the liquid I noticed a clear, refreshing, and flavorless taste. Again, just like normal water. But after drinking some more sips, I happened to notice an overwhelmingly minute bitter taste. Other than that, it's basically water. So, the only energy enhancing ingredient this drink has is 45 milligrams of natural caffeine straight from the coffee bean. To be honest, 45 milligrams of caffeine is about as much as a Diet Coca-Cola so it isn't that much. I drank this before I visited with my psychologist and the kick I got was similar to a diet soft drink. I hardly felt any noticeable effect. Overall, Avitae tastes like water, has great packaging (even though I don't grade packaging), sub-par energy enhancing ingredients, and a sub-par kick. I think I will give this a 5.8 out of 10.

REVIEW OF SOBE LIFEWATER POMEGRANATE CHERRY

CAFFEINE CONTENT: NO CAFFEINE

RATING: 6.4 OUT OF 10.

So, this is going to be a detailed review on the Sobe Lifewater Pomegranate Cherry Energy Drink. The only reason I can call this beverage an energy drink is because it has taurine, ginseng, and b vitamins which are three common ingredients found in energy drinks. So first off, why name your product SoBe? Well, SoBe is made by South Beach Beverage Company and if you combine the first two letters of the word south with the first two letters of the word beach you get SoBe. Now, the flavor is supposed to be Pomegranate Cherry but of course I did not taste any of those flavors. Instead I tasted a watered-down fruit flavored beverage similar to the likes of Propel only more fruity. This actually tasted quite nice and it was very refreshing. So, instead of just telling you the energy enhancing ingredients in this drink, I am going to tell you every single gosh darn ingredient that is present in this 20 ounce bottle. Per 20 ounce bottle it contains 100 calories, 0 grams of total fat, 55 milligrams of sodium, 42 grams of total carbohydrates, 24 grams of sugars, 0 grams of protein, 250 percent daily value of vitamin c, 50 percent daily value of vitamin e, 25 percent daily value of niacin, 25 percent daily value of vitamin b6, 25 percent daily value of vitamin b12, and 25 percent daily value of pantothenic acid. The ingredients are as follows: filtered water, sugar, erythritol, natural flavor, monopotassium phosphate, citric acid, ascorbic acid, potassium citrate, calcium lactate, modified food starch, cochineal extract, taurine, vitamin e acetate, calcium phosphate, gum arabic, panax ginseng root extract, calcium pantothenate, niacinamide, elderberry juice concentrate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, and cyanocobalamin. That is quite a plethora of ingredients but there is only 5 energy enhancing ingredients making this drink pretty weak. This drink was made to refresh you not to energize you a ton. Also, why name the flavor Pomegranate Cherry? There are no pomegranate or cherry juices in the ingredients. Perhaps that is what the "natural flavors" are. Well, that concludes my review of the SoBe Lifewater Pomegranate Cherry Energy Drink. Rating? I will give it a 6.4 out of 10. It tastes good, has a mediocre energy blend, and doesn't give you much energy.

REVIEW OF SHOCKWAVE INFRARED

CAFFEINE CONTENT: UNKNOWN.

RATING: 7.2 OUT OF 10.

So, this is the Shockwave Infrared Energy Drink. The drink comes in a red 16 ounce can and has a cranberry-like color to it. The taste is a little hard to describe. When I first tried it I thought of cranberries but once I though about it, it really doesn't compare to anything. It is a sticky, sugary, sweet, and gummy red soda. This drink does taste good, but the gumminess made my mouth feel like it was clogged with a mucus-like substance. Well, it tasted pretty good albeit there was lots of gumminess but what is in this thing? Well, it has 40 milligrams of niacin, 10 milligrams of vitamin b6, 9.6 micrograms of vitamin b12, 10 milligrams of pantothenic acid, and a 1,130 milligram proprietary blend consisting of taurine, caffeine, inositol, and coenzyme q10. The caffeine content is unknown but I am going to make an educated guess on how much caffeine is in this drink. Upon looking at the design of the drink, the graphics and font do not scream "Hey, look at me I have tons of caffeine!". Instead, it looks just like a generic energy drink. So with that being said, the drink probably contains anywhere from 150 to 200 milligrams of caffeine. As for the kick, well I got a moderate boost of energy from this guy. The effect lasted roughly 2 to 3 hours and there was only a minor crash. To conclude, The Shockwave Infrared Energy Drink tastes like a red soda, has a decent energy blend, and has a moderate kick. Rating? A decent and moderate 7.2 out of 10.

REVIEW OF ROCKSTAR JUICED GUAVA

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 160 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.4 OUT OF 10

This is my review of Rockstar Juiced Guava. First off, this drink comes in a purple 16 ounce aluminum can. The color inside, which is shown above in the photo, is a redish pink color that is actually pretty bright. Rockstar Juiced Guava is 50 percent juice and the juice is a mixture of apple, pear, and guava fruit juices. As for the taste, well it took me a while to pinpoint the flavor but I think I have it. It is a sweet, fruity, sour, and candy-like taste that was quite delicious. The fruity flavor reminded me of the fruityness you get from a Jolly Rancher. Overall, this drink tasted great but what is in it? It has 40 milligrams of vitamin b3, 20 milligrams of vitamin b5, 4 milligrams of vitamin b6, 12 micrograms of vitamin b12. It also has a 2,700 milligram energy blend which consists of 2,000 milligrams of taurine, 300 milligrams of gingko biloba leaf extract, 160 milligrams of caffeine, 50 milligrams of guarana seed extract, 50 milligrams of inositol, 50 milligrams of l-carnitine, 50 milligrams of panax ginseng extract, and finally 40 milligrams of milk thistle extract. That is a total of 12 energy enhancing ingredients which all tied in to provide me with an ample kick, not the strongest on the planet but definitely noticeable. If you don't drink energy drinks as much as I do then the combination of caffeine, b-vitamins, guarana, etc., should give you a nice kick. So, to conclude, you have a great taste, a great energy blend, a decent kick, and at about 2 dollars and 29 cents a can it has a reasonable price as well. Rating? 8.4 out of 10.

REVIEW OF BOM DIA CONQUER

CAFFEINE CONTENT: UNKNOWN

RATING: 7.6 OUT OF 10.

Here is my evaluation on the Bom Dia Conquer Healthy Energy Drink. This drink comes in a unique 11.5 ounce plastic bottle. The color inside is a deep purple and red and it is 100 percent juice. The juice comes from Acai which is one of the most powerful antioxidants in the world. The taste is actually quite splendid as you get a very unique mix of Acai juice and maybe some Mango Juice as well even though I doubt there is any in there. This drink gets its energy from yerba mate, guarana, b vitamins, black tea, and taurine. I drank this bad boy fast and on an empty stomach to get the best kick. Actually, it wasn't that bad. I have no idea how much caffeine is in this beverage but my guess is maybe 60 to 80 milligrams. I don't see this beverage having more than 100 milligrams of caffeine. Unfortunately this drink does cost 2 dollars and 99 cents which is about 1 dollar more than market leaders Monster and Red Bull. This drink should give you a kick that is at mid-level intensity and it should last about 3 hours. This drink is most likely a mix between a functional beverage and an energy beverage. I also like that this drink has 100 percent juice which makes me feel that you are actually getting something out of it. So, to conclude, Bom Dia Conquer gets a 7.6 out of 10.

REVIEW OF XYIENCE XENERGY CRAN RAZZ-100th REVIEW!

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 200 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.3 OUT OF 10

Well this is one heck of a milestone as this is my 100th review. First off Xyience Xenergy Cran Razz comes in a silver 16 ounce aluminum can and has a very distinct flavor to it. I could taste a nice mixture of cranberry and raspberry with minimal carbonation and a delicate sour touch. In fact, right on the can it says "Great Tasting" and they were right. Well it tasted great but what is in this drink? It has 40 milligrams of vitamin b3, 10 milligrams of vitamin b6, 10 micrograms of vitamin b12, 100 milligrams of vitamin b5, 320 milligrams of sodium, 30 milligrams of potassium, and a 2,680 milligram energy blend consisting of taurine, glucuronolactone, caffeine, guarana extract, panax ginseng extract, inositol, and l-carnitine. This time I took this drink on an empty stomach and the 200 milligrams of caffeine definitely delivered a solid kick. No this is not the strongest energy drink on the market but it is pretty good. The kick lasted about 4 hours and there was no crash. Overall I do like Xyience Xenergy Cran Razz. It has a great, crisp flavor, some nice energy ingredients and a solid kick. I think I will give my 100th review a rating of 8.3 out of 10.

REVIEW OF XYIENCE XENERGY APPLE JAK'D

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 200 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 7.3 OUT OF 10.

So this is my 99th review which means my 100th review will be tomorrow and I am not going to tell you what it is. As for my 99th review I will evaluate the Xyience Xenergy Apple Jak'd Energy Drink. This drink is the Official Energy Drink of the Ultimate Fighting Championship, or U.F.C. for short. This drink comes in a hardcore black 16 ounce can. The taste is a little hard to explain but the best I could come up with was liquid Apple Jolly Ranchers with maybe a hint of seltzer water. The carbonation on this drink was very minimal which made for easily guzzling. So, at the top of the can it says Xtreme Energy Drink so it must have tons of crazy ingredients and tons of caffeine. Well it has 40 milligrams of niacin, 10 milligrams of vitamin b6, 20 micrograms of vitamin b12, 100 milligrams of pantothenic acid, 320 milligrams of sodium, 30 milligrams of potassium, and a 2,700 milligram energy blend which consists of taurine, caffeine, glucuronolactone, guarana extract, panax ginseng extract, inositol, and l-carnitine. Well, it does have a nice list of energy enhancing ingredients but I wouldn't go as far as calling it an "Xtreme Energy Drink". The caffeine content of this drink is 200 milligrams per 16 ounce can. The kick was pretty decent but I have definately had better energy drinks than this. It was only a minor boost but if you are somebody who only drinks energy drinks maybe once or twice a month than this drink might be for you. It has that classic super sweet liquid candy flavor that some energy drinks have and a nice energy blend. Unfortuntely, it failed to give me a substantial energy boost. I will give Xyience Xenergy Apple Jak'd Energy Drink a rating of 7.3 out of 10.

REVIEW OF MONSTER JAVA LOCA MOCA

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 160 MILLIGRAMS PER 15 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.4 OUT OF 10.

So, this is my review of Monster Java Loca Moca. To start, this drink comes in a brown, aluminum 16 ounce can and has an iced coffee colored liquid inside. This drink tastes phenomenal and it is non-carbonated so it is easy to chug. The taste is similar to a Starbucks Mocha but it is more creamy than the Starbucks. Overall, this drink really pleased my palate like all the other Monster Javas. Well before we get to the kick, what is in Monster Java Loca Moca? Well, it has 450 milligrams of potassium, 3.1875 milligrams of vitamin b2, 37.5 milligrams of vitamin b3, 3.75 milligrams of vitamin b6, 11.25 milligrams of vitamin b12, 1,000 milligrams of taurine, 400 milligrams of panax ginseng, and a 5,000 milligram energy blend consisting of l-carnitine, glucose, caffeine, guarana, inositol, glucuronolactone, and maltodextrin. Wow, a really nice blend but did it give me the kick in the pants that I needed? Well, the kick was alright but nothing over the top. It gave me a mid-level boost that lasted about 3 hours. However, you have to take in to consideration that I am a caffeine junkie. I don't mean to brag or anything but I can ingest 500 milligrams of caffeine a day and still be able to sleep at night. So this drink should work pretty well for the average person. Rating? 8.4 out of 10.

REVIEW OF FUZE CRANBERRY RASPBERRY

CAFFEINE CONTENT: NO CAFFEINE

RATING: 8.3 OUT OF 10.

So, you may be asking yourself, why is this guy reviewing Fuze on an energy drink blog. Well, first of all, I review more than just energy drinks, I review all sorts of cool beverages. The second reason is that I review functional beverages and Fuze fits into that category. Fuze looks to be relatively healthy as it has only one artificial sweetener in it and the rest of the ingredients seem to be ok. It is not pounded with sugar like Red Bull, Monster, Rockstar, NOS, or Full Throttle. The taste is something that is out of this world! It is one heck of a delicious blend of sweet cranberries and raspberries with a succulent touch of acesulfame potassium, the artificial sweetener used in Fuze. This drink was light, refreshing, and non-carbonated so it went down smoothly. So, I mentioned before that this is a functional beverage, but what is in it that makes it that way? Well, It has 43 micrograms of chromium which helps you get energy from food, vitamin c which boosts your immune system, 23 milligrams of l-carnitine which is an ingredient used during metabolism, and 462 milligrams of super citramax which is an extract of an Asian fruit. So, did Fuze give me a good boost? No, but that is because it is not really meant to give you a boost. This drink is all about taste and health benefits. I like their functional blend and it makes me think that I am actually getting something out of this thing besides 12 teaspoons of sugar. So, with that being said, Fuze Cranberry Raspberry gets an 8.3 out of 10 for tasting phenomenal and having some health benefits as well.

REVIEW OF BOM DIA TRANSCEND

CAFFEINE CONTENT: UNKNOWN.

RATING: 7 OUT OF 10.

I have to be honest about this one: I have never heard of Bom Dia until today. Bom Dia is an energy drink that is based on the amazing berry called Acai. Interesting enough, most people don't know how to pronounce Acai. Well, it is pronounced Uh-Sah-EE. So there, now you know. Bom Dia comes in a 11.5 ounce plastic bottle and the liquid inside is a deep purple. The taste is very pleasant. I don't know how to describe it besides saying it tastes like Acai Juice. If you are sick of the sticky, syrupy flavor you get from Monster or Red Bull, then give this a try. Bom Dia also has a nice little energy blend to go along with the great taste. It has 300 percent daily value of vitamin b6, 300 percent daily value of vitamin b12, green tea, l-theanine, and guarana. Now, I know that guarana is basically natural caffeine but I have no idea how much caffeine is in this thing. After reading the ingredients I noticed that guarana is the 3rd ingredient and this thing also has taurine in it. So, did this give me a nice kick? Well, it was hard to tell. I even forgot I had it so that is a problem right there. I didn't expect this thing to give me tons of energy and I was right, it gave me next to zero energy. So, to conclude, I will give Bom Dia Transcend a rating of 7 out of 10 because of the nice taste and health benefits.

REVIEW OF REVIVE

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 85 MILLIGRAMS PER MINT.

RATING: 8.6 OUT OF 10.

Yesterday I received multiple packs of Revive Energy Mints. Before I get to the taste and kick portion of this review, just what are Revive Energy Mints? Revive Energy Mints are caffeinated mints that have three of the world's most powerful antioxidants: Acai, Mangosteen, and Goji. So, before heading to school I popped on of the mints into my mouth and got a delicious cooling sensation that lingers for a bit and is not too strong. Overall this was quite a tasty mint. Oh, and by the way the mints are light blue and about the size of a dime. So, what is in these mints that make are supposed to make them so energized? Well, it has a 101 milligram energy blend which consists of caffeine, gaurana, green tea, Goji, Acai, and Mangosteen. 85 of the 101 milligrams of stuff in the energy blend is caffeine. So, did it work? I would say so. It pulled me out of the morning slump and powered me through Conceptual Physics, Academic Strategies, Sophomore English, and finally started to wind down through United States History and Geography, my 4th hour class. This product should give you a solid 3 hours of energy if not more. One thing that I really like is the "8 hour power pack". It is a pack with 2 Revive Energy Mints so you get 170 milligrams of caffeine (more than a Monster Energy Drink) and a 202 milligram energy blend. BOO YAH! Basically, Revive Energy Mints are a perfect classroom, workout, or truck driving companion. 8.6 out of 10.

REVIEW OF RED BULL SUGAR FREE ENERGY SHOT

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 80 MILLIGRAMS PER 2 OUNCE BOTTLE.

RATING: 8.1 OUT OF 10.

So yesterday I reviewed the original Red Bull Energy Shot so today I am trying out the Red Bull Sugar Free Energy Shot. First off, this 2 ounce bottle comes in a plastic container that looks like a miniature Sugar Free Red Bull. As I take off the top I am hit with a scent of artificial sweetener and that classic Red Bull smell. When I slammed it down I got that nearly indescribable Red Bull flavor with a hint of artificial sweetener. There was absolutely no medicinal or bitter flavor to speak of. Well before we get to the kick, what is in this bad boy? Well it has 20 milligrams of niacin, 5 micrograms of vitamin b12, 5 milligrams of pantothenic acid, 80 milligrams of caffeine, 1,000 milligrams of taurine, and glucuronolactone. Not to mention only 2 calories (5 Hour Energy has 4) and no sugar. I thought I would put Red Bull Sugar Free Energy Shot to the taste by slamming it before doing some yard work. I would have to say that it worked as I got a mid-level boost that lasted for about 3 hours and 30 minutes. Not bad for a shot with only 80 milligrams of caffeine. If you would like to know what Red Bull Sugar Free Energy Shot is actually supposed to do to you then I will tell you. It is supposed to give you sustained energy for hours. It also Improves performance, especially in times of increased stress or strain. It increases concentration and improves reaction speed and it stimulates metabolism. I am not sure it did all those but I do know that it gave me energy. So, to conclude, I am going to give it a rating of 8.1 out of 10 because it has a great taste and the kick is not to shabby either.

REVIEW OF RED BULL ENERGY SHOT

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 80 MILLIGRAMS PER 2 OUNCE BOTTLE.

RATING: 7.5 OUT OF 10.

Well it is Halloween once again and the energy shot I am going to review is Red Bull Energy Shot. Red Bull Energy Shot is a fairly new shot and hopefully it will do good in the taste and kick portion of this review. I took a shot glass from the cabinet and poured half the bottle in. This drink comes out a nice caramel color and the taste is actually quite splendid. It tasted like non-carbonated Red Bull so it is that delicious apple flavor that you are so familiar with. I detected no medicinal or bitter aftertaste at all. After I initially tasted it, I poured the rest of the bottle in the glass and slammed away. Overall this shot really outdid itself in the taste category. Well done Red Bull. As for the kick I didn't feel a whole lot from Red Bull. The energy ingredients are 80 milligrams of caffeine, 1,000 milligrams of taurine, glucuronolactone, and b vitamins. I would say that the kick is definitely better than the canned Red Bull but it is not nearly as good as 5 Hour Energy in my opinion. But then again, 5 Hour Energy has 58 more milligrams of caffeine than Red Bull Energy Shot and as a matter of fact, Red Bull Energy Shot has the lowest amount of caffeine in any 2 ounce shot so that is saying something. This drink will definitely sell because it is made by the market leader in energy drinks. To conclude, I am going to give Red Bull Energy Shot a rating of 7.5 out of 10. It is a good idea, but it would be nice if Red Bull stepped up to the plate and created a shot with more caffeine.

REVIEW OF VENOM DEATH ADDER

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 165 MILLIGRAMS PER 16.9 OUNCE BOTTLE.

RATING: 7.4 OUT OF 10

So, it looks like this is the Fruit Punch version of Venom Energy Drink. Venom Death Adder comes in a nice orange and black aluminum bottle that is extremely tough. This bottle pays attention to details such as the scales around the snakes eye. When I opened the bottle I got a whiff of artificial fruit punch and an energy drink smell. When I tasted it, I got a mix between either Red Bull and fruit punch or Monster and fruit punch. So, I guess you could say that it is a combination of Red Bull, Monster, and fruit punch. Just for kicks I decided to look at the ingredients to see if any juices were used. There weren't any juices to speak of. This has the same blend that all of the Venom's have: 1.7 milligrams of riboflavin, 20 milligrams of niacin, 2 milligrams of vitamin b6, 6 micrograms of vitamin b12, 200 milligrams of ginseng extract, and a 3,000 milligram energy blend consisting of taurine, l-carnitine, caffeine, guarana, inositol, glucuronolactone, and maltodextrin. So, this drink didn't really do a whole lot to me. I mean, it kept me awake through my first hour but by fourth hour I crashed. And I don't know about you but crashing from an energy drink is actually pretty rare for me. So, to conclude I am going to give Venom Death Adder a rating of 7.4 out of 10 because of its fine taste.

REVIEW OF FULL THROTTLE BLUE DEMON

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 141 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 7.9 OUT OF 10.

So this is the blue agave flavor of Full Throttle Energy Drink. I think I will start by pointing out that there is no agave in this drink at all. It just good, fake, agave flavor. When I poured this drink in a cup, I noticed it was a lovely blue color with a very slight purple tint. This drink has a classic sweet tart taste that is similar to most energy drinks. It is very sweet and has a sour bite to it as well. Full Throttle has a 3,000 milligram energy blend consisting of guarana extract, ginseng extract, caffeine, taurine, and a couple other ingredients as well as a nice amount of b vitamins. The caffeine content is 141 milligrams per 16 ounce can. The kick this thing gives off is also pretty good. It works fast and does a nice job keeping you alert through a boring session of speed shopping. The kick lasts about 3 hours and 30 minutes which is average. Overall, I will give Full Throttle Blue Demon a rating of 7.9 out of 10. And since this review is quite short, I will tell you what drinks I will be reviewing in the future. Well, tomorrow I am going to review Venom Death Adder and if I ever get samples I will be reviewing Slap and Go Fast.

REVIEW OF VENOM MOJAVE RATTLER

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 165 MILLIGRAMS PER 16.9 OUNCE BOTTLE.

RATING: 7.8 OUT OF 10.

So, this is the low carbohydrate version of Venom Energy Drink. Venom Mojave Rattler comes in a sturdy 16.9 ounce aluminum bottle. The color that comes out of the bottle is a amber red color that differs slightly from Red Bull, Monster and Rockstar. As you can see I took a picture of the bottle and the color inside the bottle. Unfortunately, the glass was very reflective so it is kind of hard to see. Anyway, Venom Mojave Rattler tasted like Monster Lo-Carb but with a slight twist. I wasn't sure what the twist was but it could have been the hint of apple. So, Venom Mojave Rattler has 1.7 milligrams of riboflavin, 20 milligrams of niacin, 2 milligrams of vitamin b6, 6 micrograms of vitamin b12, 200 milligrams of ginseng extract, and a 3,000 milligram energy blend consisting of taurine, l-carnitine, caffeine, gaurana, inositol, glucuronolactone, and maltodextrin. The caffeine content is 165 milligrams per 16.9 ounce bottle. The kick is better than the original but that was probably because I drank it faster. The kick took a while to kick in but when it did it wasn't bad. I can still feel it after about 2 hours which is not bad. The kick should last around 3 hours or so. Ok, time to give this drink a rating. 7.8 out of 10.

REVIEW OF VENOM BLACK MAMBA

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 165 MILLIGRAMS PER 16.9 OUNCE BOTTLE.

RATING: 6.3 OUT OF 10.

So, for my 90th review, I will review Venom Black Mamba. Venom is made by Dr. Pepper Seven Up and it comes in a sturdy, red and black, 16.9 ounce bottle. Actually, it's more of a bottle and can mixed together. As far as taste, Venom is a Red Bull Clone but different in a way. Perhaps it is because it is more gummy, or maybe more sweet. It also has a very strong smell to it which reminded me of a cherry sucker or cherry candy. The color is the same amber color you get with Monster or Red Bull. So, before we can go to the kick, what's in this thing? Well, it has 1.7 milligrams of riboflavin, 20 milligrams of niacin, 2 milligrams of vitamin b6, 6 micrograms of vitamin b12, 200 milligrams of ginseng extract, and a 3,000 milligram energy blend consisting of taurine, l-carnitine, caffeine, guarana, inositol, glucurononlactone, and maltodextrin. Caffeine content is rated at 165 milligrams per 16.9 ounce can. As for the kick, well there wasn't much of one. I got a decent kick that lasted for about 90 minutes and then I crashed. I don't know about you, but crashing over an energy drink is pretty rare for me. Perhaps it is because of the 59 grams of sugar but I doubt it. Anyway, to conclude I will give Venom Black Mamba a rating of 6.3 out of 10 because the taste wasn't too bad but the kick let me down.

REVIEW OF CELSIUS SPARKLING WILD BERRY

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 200 MILLIGRAMS PER 12 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 9.6 OUT OF 10!

A couple days ago, I got these for free from my dad who gets them for free at his work. Celsius is an energy drink designed to burn up to 100 calories per can. But don't think about drinking more than 2 of these a day as it has 200 milligrams of caffeine in a 12 ounce can. Right on the can it says "Tastes Great" so I had high expectations. I wouldn't say the drink tasted amazing but it did taste pretty good. The flavor is best described as a unique wild berry flavor. I am not sure what berries I was tasting but that doesn't really matter. What does matter is that it tasted good. So, Celsius Sparkling Wild Berry has a 1,810 milligram energy blend consisting of taurine, guarana extract, green tea extract, caffeine anhydrous, glucuronolactone, and ginger extract. It has 200 milligrams of caffeine per 12 ounce can. As far as the kick, well let's just say I was pretty focused, alert, and hyper for a long time. It starts out having no kick but when it kicks in gear, oh man! This drink is amazing. It tasted pretty good, has a good energy blend, and has a great, great kick. This drink is definitely going on my Elite Energy Drink list. 9.6 out of 10!!!

REVIEW OF XS PEACH TEA BLAST

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 83 MILLIGRAMS PER 8.3 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 7.7 OUT OF 10.

I have always wanted to know one question about XS. Is it possible for them to make a drink that doesn't taste delicious? Actually yes it is. Enter XS Peach Tea Blast. It's a blend of white, green, and black teas. I will say that it did not taste very good but you have to realize that taste is subjective. I also thought that it was bitter. So, I didn't like the taste of XS Peach Tea Blast, but what is in it? Well you basically have 83 milligrams of caffeine, over 4,000% daily value of vitamin b12, 300% vitamin b3, and a couple more b vitamins in there as well. Unfortunately, the kick doesn't quite make up for the taste. It does do a pretty good job though as it lasts around 3 to maybe 4 hours. However, it did not help me through Conceptual Physics as I was still tired. Anyway, this review is really short so I am going to tell you what energy drink reviews are coming up soon. I am going to review Celsius Wild Berry, Venom Black Mamba, and Red Bull Energy Shot should get reviewed sometime in the near future. Ok, now I am going to give XS Peach Tea Blast a rating. I will give it a 7.7 out of 10.

REVIEW OF STARBUCKS DOUBLESHOT CINNAMON DULCE

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 146 MILLIGRAMS PER 15 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 8.6 OUT OF 10.

Almost all of us have been to a Starbucks and some of us have even ordered the Cinnamon Dulce. But what if Starbucks made an energy drink? What if one of their flavors was Cinnamon Dulce? Well, than you would have Starbucks Doubleshot Cinnamon Dulce. There are a lot of coffee based energy drinks out there such as Monster Java, Rockstar Roasted, and Starbucks Doubleshot. Starbucks Doubleshot differs from Monster Java and Rockstar Roasted because the coffee flavor is much more noticeable. It isn't just coffee flavored milk. It is richer and a delicious aftertaste of iced coffee lingers for a while. It might not be Cinnamon Dulce, but it certainly is delicious. Starbucks Doubleshot also has some key energy enhancing ingredients such as 2,000 milligrams of maltodextrin, 1,800 milligrams of taurine, 450 milligrams of l-carnitine, 180 milligrams of inositol, 325 milligrams of panax ginseng, and 90 milligrams of guarana. The caffeine content is not listed on the can but energyfiend.com tells us that it has 146 milligrams per 15 ounce can. The kick is also pretty good. It works fast and lasts for a pretty long time. Once again I took it before school started and once again it got me through my tougher classes. To conclude, Starbucks Doubleshot Cinnamon Dulce tastes great, has a good energy list and delivers a nice kick. Rating? 8.6 out of 10.

REVIEW OF EUPHORIC POMEGRANATE PASSION FRUIT

CAFFEINE CONTENT: 140 MILLIGRAMS PER 16 OUNCE CAN.

RATING: 7.1 OUT OF 10.

I can not believe I found this drink and guess where I found it? Go ahead, guess. Nope, you're wrong. I got it at D and W Fresh Market. After some thought, I decided to try the pomegranate passion fruit flavor. So, this thing tastes just okay as it has an interesting yet dull infusion of passion fruit and pomegranate. This drink also gives you cottonmouth otherwise known as an oral dryness. I actually had a hard time finish all 16 ounces. So, what is in Euphoric Pomegranate Passion Fruit? Well there is 140 milligrams of caffeine, 1,200 milligrams of taurine, 50 milligrams of ginseng extract, 80 milligrams of damiana leaf extract, 160 milligrams of inositol, 60 milligrams of maca root extract, 100 milligrams of suma root extract and 5 micrograms of vitamin b12. All in all, that is a 1,790 milligram energy blend which isn't too bad. The kick I got from this was pretty good but not amazing. It helped me get through Conceptual Physics and less excited classes such as Sophomore English. Overall, this drink isn't too bad. Sure the taste is dull but it has a pretty good energy blend and the kick almost makes up for the taste. Rating? 7.1 out of 10.
